Pop Brixton is a project to support local jobs, training and enterprise. It is a pioneering new space created with the local community in mind to showcase the best and most exciting independent start-ups and businesses from Brixton and Lambeth, where they can share space, skills and ideas.

Solution:
After supplying temporary sound solutions for out door events at Pop Brixton in the summer of 2015, we were invited back to supply site wide sound to the project. As Autumn turned to winter the site made up of up cycled shipping containers we were asked to provide a cost effective solution to providing site wide sound to the whole site. Stretch tenting was installed  to cover the walkways and open air spaces to keep the elements out. We specified a JBL sound system consisting of weather proof JBL Control 25 and 28 loud speakers. Twenty two speakers were deployed across site with the larger JBL  control 28’s supplying the sound in the open areas at the front and rear and the smaller control 25’s along the walkways, green house and balcony areas. The system was powered by three MC2 T1000 amplifiers with XTA DSP. The results were excellent providing great coverage and complimenting the  atmosphere to the site. The system was configured to provide play back and also integrated into the sites event space “Pop Box” so events can be broadcast across  the entire site.
